Battling a sore back from too much heavy lifting over the weekend. I was bummed because it's going to mess up my running for several days, at least. Now I'm excited to add my first 00:00 on Strava. It's like a badge of honor... resting and proud of it! Thanks for this.
I like that on Training Peaks, which I use along with Strava as a more structured record of my training, you can programme rest days. But I appreciate that TP probably isn’t a platform used by most of those who use Strava.
Yeah, TP is private so no one sees it except you and your coach. I can do the same (i.e., plan/log rest days) with my/my athletes training in Final Surge.
I logged a rest day, but Strava wouldn’t let me save an activity with zero time. I made the “workout” 1 second, and then it saved. Tagged you in it so you can see the example. Like the reader above, I like & use Training Peaks and show my rest days & metrics there. Strava is more of a social media platform than a training log or tool for me.
I'm going to go ahead and claim rest day brags for tomorrow! I will take the dogs for a walk and that'll show up on Strava. This training schedule I'm under from Krissy Moehl's ultra book is really different. I'm not used to cutting back this much every third week!

Sorry to hear about the sore back Mike but glad you're playing it smart. In the long run you will be better for not forcing it.
